BYE-OLA

There comes a time in everyone’s life when the good things must temporarily come to a close. You guys have been with me on this heck of a journey in this year at Biola. Sophomore year is statistically the hardest year of college. Guess what!?
I made it!

I don’t know about you guys, but for me, this year has been a year of change, patience, challenge, and restlessness. From the panic attacks and hospital visits, to the amazing friends that I’ve made. Alas, I have seen the light at the end of the tunnel. God’s sovereignty has provided me with complete strength, rest, and relationships that I had been deprived of for a while.

To whoever has been keeping up with my blog, if there’s any one message I want you all to take it’s this: love everyone. Love should have no boundaries. Love people of different beliefs, different skin, of different orientation. Love because Christ loves.

By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another
John 13:35

Friends, this is it. This is my last Biola blog of the year. Words can’t express how blessed I have been this year to be sharing my experiences with you all. You guys have seen only a taste of what Biola has to offer. Now, it’s your turn to experience first-hand the glory of God that shines through this campus. Until next time…

Blessings, y’all!

Somebody That I Used To Know (Cover) - fun. feat Hayley Williams

Can you all just take a break from your beautiful lives and listen to this song?

The other night at work I opened and closed our meeting with a song.
This is my opening act: “Ode to Joy” theme, from Ludwig van Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.

Re: Work = Ministry

As some of you guys may recall, I wrote a blog a while ago about serving the Lord through your work. As I sit here on my ten-minute break, I reflect on my time here, at one of my two jobs, Tilly’s. Today is actually my last day here at the Tilly’s near my home (Corona). I’m transferring to a Tilly’s more local to Biola’s campus where I will be a Lead Sales Associate (come visit!).
I’ve been here for nearly a year and have gotten to know these wonderful people through work and outside of this store. Beautiful people, beautiful minds, and beautiful hearts. I’d like to think that my ministry here was to open up to my co-workers and be someone that they could rely on. Some of these people have confided in me simply because I took the time to listen and offer prayer to them.
As I move on to another store, I will remain true to myself and my God and offer the same heart and ears to my new co-workers and soon-to-be friends.
As with this reflection, it is also nearing the time which is bloggers will take a break from this job. Some of us will be rejoining the Ambassador team next year, and some of us will go on to pursue other things.
Honestly, I don’t know where I’d be in this school year had it not been for the 20-something ambassadors that have prayed for me, prayed with me, and offered nothing but love. Of course, I’m grateful as well to my amazing bosses who gave me this opportunity to serve you prospective students. I love you all dearly. :)

The year is winding down, guys.
Pray for me as I continue to pray for you!

Blessings, y’all!

This is it guys…

it’s the last month of the school year.

Thanks to all of you who have been following my blog thus far.
You all are beautiful.

Blessings, y’all!

btw, this isn’t my last blog yet…

I got into every class that I needed next year. Compared to my previous experiences in class selection, I’d say this time was VERRY successful. Not a single change in expected course selection.
Thank goodness. Blessings, y’all!
(BTW those are mostly all expected Intercultural Studies classes for those of you who are interested in ICS. I’m excited!)

In a long stream of entertaining videos I’ve planned on showing you guys in the coming weeks, I felt compelled to share this AMAZING video.

Yes it’s singing. Yes it’s meowing. Yes…it’s beautiful.

Blessings, y’all!

Why-ola?

Some of you are seniors [in high school, not 80-something year-olds. (well, if you are 80-something year-olds, I’m so happy you’re reading my blog!)], and believe me, it wasn’t too long ago when I was in your shoes: contemplating the trivialities of choosing which college is right for you. I get that. And again, I understand that some of you may not choose Biola as your college.
But for some of you who are still thinking about BIOLA (along with other schools), THIS blog is for you.

Some of you may be thinking: Why BIOLA?
or as I’ve heard: “Why-OLA?

Well, when I was a high school senior, I was asking myself the same question. Along with BIOLA, I was also looking into about 3 other schools. One of which you too might be looking into (I won’t say which one, but I will say that it rhymes with Palooza Terrific). The other schools I saw had beautiful campuses, great faculty, and a strong community. The only flaw that I saw in each of those was that none of them posessed ALL of those characteristics that I was looking for as a prospective student.

BIOLA University did.

And even more-so, my absolute favorite thing about BIOLA was that it emphasized Bibically-centered Education.
How amazing is that? An all-Christian university that integrates faith and education!

So, I will tell you reasons why I chose BIOLA:
- The campus is BEAUTIFUL
- The faculty is GREAT
- The community is STRONG
- and most importantly, CHRIST is evident

That’s BIOLA.

Blessings, y’all!

Ever wonder where I get my amazing physique?
Wonder no more!
